!ke e: ǀxarra ǁke. South Africa's national motto, in the ǀXam language of the San. It means diverse people unite.
Take a tour of the South Africa-Canada Bridge Who is on each end
The South Africa-Canada Business Bridge is for South African businesses that want Canadian clients, partners or a foothold in Canada, and for Canadian firms that want a South African partner somebody has already vouched for.
There is no direct flight, and Johannesburg is nine hours ahead of Vancouver and six ahead of Toronto, so almost every first conversation happens on a video call early in the Canadian morning. None of that stops a deal. What stops it is not knowing anybody on the other side.
South African business runs on relationships and a good word from the right person. Canadian business is polite, careful and slow to commit to a stranger. Each end of this Bridge has its own host, who lives there and knows how trust is built on their side.

In her own words she is an international motivational speaker, a holistic energy alchemist and a virtual freelance business consultant, working through Corby & Page Enterprises. Her consulting is done largely online, which suits a bridge whose other end is nine time zones away. She meets people face to face in Johannesburg and online anywhere.

More about SusanSouth Africa chose !ke e: ǀxarra ǁke for its coat of arms in 2000: diverse people unite, written in the language of some of the country's first people. Canada has built itself on much the same idea, and a great many South Africans now live and work there. A bridge between the two is less about distance than about finding the right person among a lot of good ones, and letting someone who knows you both make the match.
