What this is

Johannesburg-Europe Agri Bridge connects growers, agri businesses and investors between Johannesburg and Europe, in both directions, produce and product heading north and capital, equipment and expertise heading south.

The distance is not really the obstacle, and nor is the clock, since Johannesburg sits within an hour of most of Europe all year. The obstacle is that a good farm in Limpopo and a serious buyer in Rotterdam have no way to find each other, and neither will risk a season on a stranger.

One grower's side, one buyer's side

Knowing agriculture is not the same as knowing which European importer pays on time, and knowing the European trade is not the same as knowing which South African farm can actually hold a volume commitment through a bad year. Each end needs somebody who lives in that half of the problem.
