What this is

Canada-USA Business Bridge Collaboration Group is a business introduction network for people trading between Canada and United States, and for people who live on one side and came from the other.

The distance was never the difficulty. The difficulty is that most people only ever have footing on one bank. A warm introduction from somebody the other side already trusts does what a cold approach cannot, and that is the whole of the mechanism.

A bridge needs both banks

Most business communities have one organiser in one city. This one has a named human at each end, because an introduction is only ever as good as the person making it, and that person has to know the local room.

Marc Palud hosts the Canadian side of the Bridge from Winnipeg. He is the founder of SpeedNetworkingLive.com, host of The Better Human Podcast, and co-founder of Concourse Benefits. He has spent years building rooms where people actually meet each other rather than collect business cards, and the Bridge applies that same method across a border most networks simply stop at.

A portage is the stretch where the water runs out and you carry the canoe yourself, so that two separate waterways become one route. It is the oldest North American answer to a gap, it is a French word that both countries kept, and it only works because somebody already knows the path.
